Matt Damon says one of his daughters will only watch his movies under one condition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
The Odyssey <\/em>star admits she prefers his films to be \u201cbad.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Damon also shares how special it was to have his daughters and wife with him at The Odyssey<\/em> premiere.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Matt Damon<\/a> deals with film critics on a regular basis, but it turns out he faces some harsh feedback at home as well.<\/p>\n The actor, 55, stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers<\/em><\/a> on Thursday to promote his starring role in Christopher Nolan\u2019s The Odyssey<\/em><\/a> and admitted that one of his children,<\/a> in particular, is a ball-buster.<\/p>\n When asked if his four daughters are huge supporters of his work \u201cno matter what,\u201d Damon told Seth Meyers<\/a> that they show his career love \u201cin their own ways.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOne of my daughters, she\u2019s got a great sense of humor and our kind of banter is she basically says she\u2019ll only see a movie that I\u2019m in if she hears it\u2019s bad,\u201d he admitted, laughing. \u201cJust to keep me humble. She\u2019s excellent at that.\u201d<\/p>\n Three years ago, Damon also spoke to Meyers<\/a> about how his now-20-year-old daughter, Isabella, has a penchant for bringing him back down to earth.<\/p>\n \u201cShe is very clear about not wanting to see anything that I\u2019m in if she thinks it might be good,\u201d he reiterated. \u201cSo, if I get bad reviews or something, that\u2019s the one she wants to see.\u201d<\/p>\n Damon then brought up his \u201cnot very good\u201d 2016 movie, The Great Wall<\/em><\/a>, and shared Isabella\u2019s nickname for it.<\/p>\n \u201cMy daughter was talking to one of her friends and she was [saying], \u2018My dad did this movie The Wall<\/em>.\u2019 And she kept calling it The Wall<\/em>. And I was finally like, \u2018Isabella, that movie\u2019s called The Great Wall<\/em>.\u2019 And she\u2019s like, \u2018Dad, there is nothing<\/em> great about that movie.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Isabella, however, has been fully supporting her dad as he\u2019s been promoting <\/a>The Odyssey<\/em><\/a>. She stood by his side, alongside her mom, Luciana Barroso, at both the New York and London premieres of the film, and her sisters<\/a> \u2014 Alexia, 27, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15 \u2014 joined her in the U.K.<\/p>\n Matt Damon and his family at the U.K. premiere of \u2018The Odyssey\u2019 on July 6Credit: James Veysey\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n \u201cYou had your whole family\u2014the whole team came out to see The Odyssey,<\/em>\u201d Meyers noted of their red carpet appearance on Thursday, to which Damon replied, \u201cYeah, it was great. Everyone got dressed up. It was a great family night.\u201d<\/p>\n Damon mentioned how emotional he was seeing his daughters all grown up at the event, telling Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>, \u201cI\u2019m so happy they\u2019re here. Everybody\u2019s so grown up, like, I got a real dad teary moment seeing them today. It\u2019s a lot.
