In recent years, Prince William<\/a> and Prince Harry<\/a> have kept their distance from each other. On July 15, a source told People<\/em><\/a> that the brothers\u2019 relationship is \u201cso broken.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it would have perhaps eased a little bit by now, to be honest,\u201d an insider close to the brothers said. \u201cBut there has been no movement, especially on William\u2019s side. There is no contact.\u201d<\/p>\n

The feud shows no signs of ending, and Kate Middleton<\/a> is reportedly heartbroken over it. An insider told Heat World<\/em><\/a> that it\u2019s \u201ctearing Kate apart to see William so upset and angry all the time,\u201d adding that she\u2019s \u201ctried everything\u201d to be there for him. \u201cShe\u2019s listened, she\u2019s sympathised, she\u2019s encouraged him to talk it through, but nothing seems to work,\u201d they explained.<\/p>\n

Now, it seems Kate is fed up and ready to put William in his place. \u201cShe\u2019s at the point where she doesn\u2019t know what else she can do, so she\u2019s resorting to a bit of tough love,\u201d the source added. \u201cShe\u2019s ordered him to snap out of it. She\u2019s told him to look around him and realise they\u2019ve got so much to be grateful for. Kate\u2019s feeling happier than she has in a long time and she wants William to start seeing that the glass is half full, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kate has reportedly told William \u201cto stop letting all this stress impact his mood, because it\u2019s affecting everyone around him. The last thing she or the kids need is to see him moping around all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019s stood by William through many difficult moments, including Harry and Meghan Markle\u2019s explosive accusations in their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan<\/em> and Harry\u2019s memoir Spare<\/em><\/a>, where he claimed William physically assaulted him after an argument about Meghan.<\/p>\n

Though she knows William is angry, Kate also sees his pain. \u201cKate recognises that, underneath the bluster, William is in a lot of pain, too,\u201d the insider continued. \u201cDeep down, he still loves his brother, and no one ever imagined they\u2019d still be this estranged after all these years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although the rift has no end in sight, the Palace remains hopeful that Kate can help William move forward with his brother. The source noted, \u201cWilliam listens to Kate. She\u2019s probably the only person who can get through to him. She has managed to drill a bit of sense into him, but there\u2019s still a lot of work to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
