Adam Sandler<\/a><\/strong>officiating Taylor Swift <\/strong><\/a>and Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s star-studded wedding felt a bit unbelievable to the lucky 1,000 in attendance.<\/p>\n \u201cAdam Sandler \u2026 came down [the aisle], everybody laughed and thought it was a joke at first,\u201d American Century Investments CEO Jonathan Thomas<\/strong> said on the Thursday, July 17, episode of \u201cThe Compound\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cHe probably spoke for 20 or 30 minutes, vacillated between funny, very sincere [and] sang a few things.\u201d<\/p>\n Swift and Kelce, both 36, said \u201cI do\u201d on July 3 inside New York City\u2019s famed Madison Square Garden arena surrounded by some of the biggest names in sports and Hollywood.<\/p>\n After their enchanted garden-themed nuptials, Swift\u2019s rep revealed in a statement that the couple\u2019s friend Sandler, 59, presided over the ceremony<\/a>.<\/p>\n Adam Sandler\u2019s History With Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Over the Years: Wedding Officiant, More<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIn your typical vows the officiator says, \u2018For rich or for poor.\u2019 Adam said, \u2018You\u2019re not going to have to worry about that,\u2019\u201d Thomas recalled on Thursday, referring to Swift\u2019s billionaire status and Kelce\u2019s multimillion-dollar NFL salary. \u201cHis key message was [to] kiss each other every day, in the morning, at night [and] after dinner.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to Sandler\u2019s heartfelt-yet-humorous speech, the now-newlyweds spoke for just as long delivering their vows<\/a>.<\/p>\n Travis Kelce and Adam Sandler on the set of ‘Happy Gilmore 2.’Scott Yamano\/Netflix<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n \u201cTravis went first with his vows. He probably spoke for 30 minutes and I don’t want to violate his privacy, but I was crying, which I was trying to hold back,\u201d Thomas recalled. \u201cHe made himself unbelievably vulnerable. I was sitting there crying, and I was trying to hold it back until I look around and there’s all these 300-pound men from the football business crying, as well. So, I felt really comfortable [to] let go. Then, they opened up [the venue and] you walk through this massive castle that they built.\u201d<\/p>\n Thomas, for his part, was especially in awe of how Swift and Kelce transformed MSG into their dream wedding venue.<\/p>\n \u201cYou would never guess you’re in Madison Square Garden the way they did. It was incredible,\u201d the businessman said on Thursday. \u201cBut you [walked] through this castle that they built and behind it, um, they had all sorts of games [and] amazing giveaways<\/a> to people.\u201d<\/p>\n
