Ricki Lake<\/strong><\/a> is looking back with gratitude.<\/p>\n

The former talk show host celebrated two years since she had a facelift via Instagram<\/a> on Saturday, July 18, sharing new photos from before and after the procedure.<\/p>\n

\u201cHappy 2 year anniversary to me. Yes, 2 years ago today, I had a facelift. Specifically, for those wondering, I had a deep plane lower face and neck lift along with a mild co2 laser,\u201d she wrote alongside the images. \u201cMy incredibly talented and kind surgeon, Dr. Allen Foulad @drallenfoulad made the experience a wonderful one and my results have been remarkable, natural, and long-lasting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lake, 57, continued, \u201cBack in 2023, I had lost 40 lbs over the course of a year and did not like the extra skin that hung from below my chin. It was never going to tighten up by itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhile some prefer to fly under the radar when they get plastic surgery, celebrities including Denise Richards, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives\u2019 Jessi Ngatikaura and Heidi Montag\u00a0keep it candid. \u201cI took a leap of faith and I\u2019m so grateful I did,\u201d she added. \u201cI am also very glad to see so many people over these past couple of years opening up about their own plastic surgery journeys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alongside the caption, Lake used the hashtags #transparency, #selflove, #plasticsurgery, #thisis57 and #grateful.<\/p>\n

Back in March, Lake opened up about deciding to have a facelift<\/a> without doing much research into the process.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told my doctor, Dr. Alan Fouad, who I met through another friend, that I didn\u2019t do any research when I decided very impulsively to have my face done,\u201d the actress said on the \u201cInside Edit\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tRicki Lake rose to fame in 1988\u2019s Hairspray, playing self-proclaimed \u201cpleasantly plump\u201d leading lady Tracy Turnblad. \u201cBeing fat worked, and I think that was what was confusing for me for a long time in my career,\u201d Lake told Good Morning America in December 2010 after she lost 130 pounds. \u201cThrough my adolescence and, you know, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAnyway, she had this experience [and] I saw her eight days after her surgery, and not only did she look amazing, she was euphoric,\u201d she said of her friend. \u201cShe was like a different person. She was just on top of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI had just lost 40 pounds, and I had this [skin] hanging,\u201d Lake said, referring to her neck.<\/p>\n

Since undergoing the procedure, Lake has been happy to openly talk about having a facelift.<\/p>\n
