Manosphere influencer Andrew Tate<\/strong> has made headlines through the years for his controversial opinions.<\/p>\n

Andrew rose to fame as a contestant on the U.K. version of Big Brother<\/em> before building an online following within the so-called \u201cmen\u2019s rights\u201d online space, becoming a prominent force within the right-wing conservative online movement by building an anti-feminist, anti-women\u2019s rights agenda. In an interview with a YouTuber, Andrew publicly confirmed that he was \u201cabsolutely a misogynist.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrew Was Named After His Father<\/h2>\n

Tate, whose full name is Emory Andrew Tate, was named after his father \u2014 an American who worked for the U.S. Air Force in Britain. Tate\u2019s parents met in the U.K. before moving to the United States, where the influencer resided until his parents\u2019 split. He then moved to England with his mother.<\/p>\n

Andrew Tate Was a Professional Kickboxer<\/h2>\n

Andrew was first widely known as a kickboxer before gaining a following on the U.K.\u2019s Big Brother<\/em>. He was a kickboxing world champion four times.<\/p>\n

Andrew Tate Has Faced Multiple Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking Allegations<\/h2>\n

Andrew and his brother, Tristan Tate<\/strong>, have both previously faced multiple accusations of sexual assault and human trafficking. They have denied the allegations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe live in a democratic society where it\u2019s innocent until proven guilty, and I think my brother and I are largely misunderstood,\u201d Andrew told reporters in February 2025. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of opinions about us, a lot of things that got around about us on the internet. We\u2019ve yet to be convicted of any crime in our lives ever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrew Tate Was Again in 2026<\/h2>\n

Andrew and Tristan were arrested in Miami<\/a> in July 2026 after the U.K. government filed new rape and sex trafficking charges against them.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have decided to prosecute Andrew and Tristan Tate for further offenses including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation and offenses relating to indecent images of a child,\u201d Malcolm McHaffie<\/strong>, head of the U.K. Special Crime Division at the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), announced at the time. \u201cThese charging decisions followed receipt of a further file of evidence from Bedfordshire Police and bring the total number of alleged victims in this case to seven.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrew now faces \u201cseven further counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm,\u201d per the CPS. He has also been cited for 19 additional alleged offenses involving indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.<\/p>\n

Tristan, meanwhile, faces additional charges including one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.<\/p>\n
