Friends<\/em><\/a> alum Lauren Tom<\/strong> is opening up about 25-year-old daughter Ellie<\/strong>\u2019s battle with bone cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to share some tough news today \u2026\u201d Tom, 64, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, July 19, while sharing several snaps of her daughter. \u201cThis is my beautiful daughter, Ellie. She is currently battling osteosarcoma, (bone cancer) and my family and I are doing everything we can to aid in her healing.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI am reminded of the Fred Rogers<\/strong> quote, \u2018When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Tom proceeded to share a public thank you to their \u201cfriends and family and the incredible doctors and nurses\u201d at Cedars Sinai hospital for their \u201congoing boundless support, love, and care.\u201d<\/p>\n
