Doctor Doom, also known as Victor von Doom, is the despotic leader of Latveria, a fictional European country.<\/p>\n
After a brief tease in The Fantastic Four: First Steps<\/em>, the trailer finally gives fans their first proper look at Doctor Doom. The footage shows him wearing a green cloak and a metal mask, warning that “we shall be faced with an unthinkable decision.”<\/p>\nThe Avengers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

(Marvel)<\/span><\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nSeveral of the MCU’s biggest heroes are back to lead the fight against Doctor Doom, including Steve Rogers (Chris Evans<\/strong>).<\/p>\nThe original Captain America was last seen handing his shield to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie<\/strong>) at the end of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame<\/em>. The trailer ends with Rogers once again summoning Mjolnir, Thor’s enchanted hammer, which he proved worthy to wield during Endgame<\/em>.<\/p>\nWilson is also part of the lineup after starring in Captain America: Brave New World<\/em>, his first solo outing as Captain America.<\/p>\nThor (Chris Hemsworth) appears to take on a leadership role, warning the team they’re facing a threat unlike anything he’s encountered. He tells them to “put aside your petty squabbles” before concluding: “We’re going to need a miracle.”<\/p>\n
Bucky Barnes \/ Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan<\/strong>) is among the heroes assembling to face Doctor Doom, while Scott Lang \/ Ant-Man (Paul Rudd<\/strong>) shares a farewell with his daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton<\/strong>) before joining the rest of the team.<\/p>\nShang-Chi (Simu Liu<\/strong>) also features after making his MCU debut in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings<\/em>.<\/p>\nThe Fantastic Four<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

X-Men<\/em> star Rebecca Romijn reprises her role as the shape-shifting mutant Mystique.<\/p>\n(Marvel)<\/span><\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nThe trailer reunites several stars from the original X-Men<\/em> movies, many of whom first appeared in the franchise more than 20 years ago.<\/p>\nPatrick Stewart<\/strong> appears once again as Professor Charles Xavier alongside Ian McKellen<\/strong>‘s Magneto, while James Marsden<\/strong> reprises his role as Cyclops.<\/p>\nRebecca Romijn<\/strong>, Kelsey Grammer<\/strong> and Alan Cumming<\/strong> return as Mystique, Beast and Nightcrawler, while Channing Tatum<\/strong> appears as Gambit after appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine<\/em>.<\/p>\nWakanda<\/h2>\n Shuri (Letitia Wright<\/strong>) is back as the Black Panther after taking up the mantle in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever<\/em>. She’s accompanied by Winston Duke<\/strong>‘s M’Baku and several Wakandan warriors.<\/p>\nNamor (Tenoch Huerta Mej\u00eda<\/strong>) and his cousin Namora (Mabel Cadena<\/strong>) also join the lineup.<\/p>\nLoki<\/h2>\n Tom Hiddleston<\/strong> returns as Loki after the Disney+ series ended with the former God of Mischief taking responsibility for the multiverse’s branching timelines.<\/p>\nWho’s missing?<\/h2>\n Even a cast this big can’t fit everyone. There’s no sign of Hulk, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Nick Fury, Deadpool, Wolverine, Captain Marvel or the Guardians of the Galaxy crew, despite all playing major roles elsewhere in the MCU.<\/p>\n
Marvel has yet to confirm the film’s full lineup, however, and has a long history of keeping major characters and cameos under wraps until release.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
