The Houston-based independent advisory firm, which oversees more than $11.5 billion in client assets, has appointed Associate Vice President Ben Davidson to lead the new business.

The division is designed to address the financial complexities facing clients whose careers often involve concentrated earnings, multiple income streams, intellectual property assets, and evolving business ventures. Americana said the practice combines financial professionals with former athletes and entertainment executives to provide industry-specific planning and investment guidance.

“The financial lives of athletes, entertainers, and creators are often more complex than people realize,” Davidson said. “Our goal is to support clients as they navigate important financial decisions during periods of opportunity, build a long-term financial foundation beyond their careers in the spotlight, and surround them with a trusted network of advisors, relationships, and resources.”

The launch builds on Americana’s presence in several of the country’s largest sports and entertainment markets. In addition to its Houston headquarters, the firm operates offices in Beverly Hills and Nashville, providing proximity to clients across the professional sports, music, film, and creator economies.

Americana said the new practice will focus on helping clients manage wealth generated through contracts, royalties, endorsements, licensing agreements, and other diversified revenue sources. Services include investment management, tax planning across multiple income streams, brand protection, intellectual property strategies, income diversification, and long-term financial planning.

For professional athletes, the firm will provide guidance on managing wealth during relatively short earning windows, planning for career transitions and retirement, navigating complex compensation structures, and evaluating investment opportunities available through the firm’s platform. Entertainment professionals will receive support for managing variable cash flows, optimizing royalty and intellectual property income, and developing long-term wealth strategies aligned with changing career trajectories.

The practice also targets digital creators and entrepreneurs whose businesses rely on advertising, sponsorships, subscriptions, licensing, and other platform-driven revenue. Americana said it will work with clients to diversify income sources, protect brand value, develop tax-efficient financial strategies, and build investment portfolios designed to support long-term financial objectives beyond periods of rapid growth.

To mark the division’s launch, Americana hosted its inaugural Americana Cup at Congaree Golf Club in South Carolina from May 28 through May 31, 2026. The event brought together Hall of Fame athletes, entertainment executives, creators, and financial industry leaders for networking, business development, and philanthropic activities. Congaree Golf Club is home to the Congaree Foundation, which supports educational opportunities for young people through the game of golf.

“Our inaugural Americana Cup marks an exciting milestone as we expand our commitment to serving clients across the sports and entertainment industries,” said Jason Fertitta, chief executive officer of Americana Partners. “This event reflects our approach to building meaningful relationships and understanding the unique needs of the individuals we serve. By bringing together leaders across sports, entertainment, and finance, we’re creating opportunities to connect, collaborate, and deliver greater value to our clients.”

Founded in 2019, Americana Partners provides independent wealth advisory and family office services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families across the United States, including a dedicated practice serving Latin American clients. The firm offers traditional and alternative investment solutions and has grown to oversee more than $11.5 billion in client assets. Americana operates independently while leveraging strategic support from Dynasty Financial Partners and other industry specialists as it continues expanding its advisory platform.

‘ The preceding article may include information circulated by third parties ’

‘ Some details of this article were extracted from the following source www.citybiz.co ’

Ben Davidson Americana Partners has launched a dedicated Sports & Entertainment division, expanding its wealth management platform with specialized services for athletes, entertainers, content creators, agents, and coaches.
