The disappointment reflects not only affection for the production but anxiety over Broadway\u2019s increasingly unforgiving economics. Although the show briefly grossed more than $1 million a week, those seemingly respectable numbers were insufficient to cover its substantial capitalization and weekly running expenses.<\/p>\n
Following the announcement, Lloyd Webber warned on social media that Broadway is \u201cin dire danger\u201d and urged theater owners, unions and producers to work together before its theaters begin to resemble Hollywood\u2019s \u201cempty soundstages.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Drag Race\u2019 favorite Valentina joins \u2018Rocky Horror\u2019 on Broadway\n<\/p>\n
