Courtney Stodden<\/strong><\/a> is calling out Jason Alexander<\/strong><\/a> for his actions during a 2012 Funny or Die comedy sketch that involved the actor rubbing a phone on her chest when she was a minor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was 17 years old in this photo,\u201d Stodden, 31, wrote alongside a still from the sketch shared via Instagram<\/a> on Monday, July 20. \u201cThe older I get, the more impossible this is to understand. During this comedy sketch, Jason Alexander repeatedly rubbed his phone across my breasts while saying there was \u2018no signal\u2019 in my head but \u2018plenty of signal\u2019 in my chest. Later in the sketch, he joked that when I turned 18 he\u2019d like to take me behind the couch and \u2018have his way\u2019 with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stodden noted that Alexander, 66, is credited as a writer of the episode. The sketch in question parodied daytime television and featured Alexander using a cell phone to \u201cassess the quality\u201d of Stodden\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs an adult, that fact has become harder \u2014 not easier \u2014 for me to understand. I was a minor. I didn\u2019t have the legal power to decide whether I wanted to participate. The contracts were signed by adults. The paycheck went to Doug,\u201d she continued, referring to her now ex-husband Doug Hutchison<\/strong><\/a>, who was 50 to her 16 years of age when the pair married in 2011. The former couple split in 2017.<\/p>\n

Stodden, now 30, appears in the ABC News documentary IMPACT x Nightline: Confessions of a Child Bride, scheduled to stream Thursday, March 20, on Hulu.\u00a0 In a YouTube clip from her interview with Nightline\u2019s Juju Chang, Stodden addressed the negative treatment she received [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI was the only child in the room,\u201d Stodden recalled of the sketch. \u201cI felt so alone. Looking back now, I don\u2019t see comedy. I see a 17-year-old girl whose body became part of an adult joke.\u201d<\/p>\n

The media personality also hit back at those who claimed that she opted to participate in the sketch.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople still say, \u2018You chose to be there.\u2019 Legally, I couldn\u2019t make those decisions for myself,\u201d she concluded. \u201cThat\u2019s the point. I can\u2019t change what happened to me, but I can ask myself: How did so many adults look at a minor and decide this was acceptable? That\u2019s exactly why I speak out today. Children deserve laws that protect them. They shouldn\u2019t have to become adults before realizing the law should have protected them all along.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stodden has publicly campaigned against child marriage and advocated for children\u2019s rights since her divorce from Hutchison. She has frequently taken aim at her ex-husband and others who allegedly exploited her in her youth. Last month, Stodden slammed television personality Dr. Drew Pinsky<\/strong><\/a>, claiming that he forced her to undergo an exam of her breasts on live television when she was a minor.<\/p>\n
