Adam Levine may be best known for his work with Maroon 5 or as a judge on The Voice<\/em>, but these days he has a new line on his resume: Smitten stay-at-home dad<\/a> to daughters Dusty Rose and Gio Grace.<\/p>\n The singer appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show<\/em> and shared what he\u2019s been up to since leaving The Voice<\/em> a few months ago.<\/p>\n \u201cI do miss it, but I also don\u2019t miss how much I had to work,\u201d Adam tells Ellen<\/a> \u201cI was just constantly working for so many years\u2014very lucky, very fortunate, very blessed and all that, but [I wanted] to be able to spend time in this moment with my new, young family, and just have the greatest time ever. Now I\u2019m just like a stay-at-home dad<\/a>. I just stay home and do very little. It\u2019s great.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n It\u2019s wonderful that Adam is able to step aside from his very demanding job to enjoy full-time fatherhood<\/a>, and he\u2019s clearly head-over-heels in love with his daughters. We love that he\u2019s rocking the stay-at-home dad title, but we also wish Adam would give himself (and all the other stay-at-home parents out there) more credit. Because if there\u2019s one thing we know, it\u2019s this: Stay-at-home parents are doing aren\u2019t doing very little. Actually, they\u2019re doing a whole lot.<\/p>\n Adam and his wife, Behati Prinsloo presumably have help with their kids, sure. But when you get right down to it, being a stay-at-home parent is demanding no matter how many hands you have on deck. And as Ellen points out during their chat, Adam is a very hands-on father.<\/p>\n Of course, there\u2019s something societal at work happening here. We\u2019ve finally reached a place where we can appreciate and celebrate motherhood for the incredibly hard, completely consuming thing it is\u2026but we haven\u2019t quite reached that point where fatherhood is concerned.<\/a> Here\u2019s what we say: Mothers and fathers have a lot on their plates, whether they work, stay home, or do some combination of both. And while Adam may not have his Voice<\/em> paycheck or rigorous recording schedule at the moment, he\u2019s still pulling his weight<\/a> in a major way just by being with this kids.<\/p>\n Then again, maybe he\u2019s just loving this time with his children so much, he hasn\u2019t quite recognized all the work he\u2019s doing just yet. \u201cI\u2019m obsessed with them,\u201d the star says of his daughters. \u201cI know that\u2019s a good thing, because they\u2019re my children\u2026that\u2019s why I don\u2019t do much, because I love hanging [out with them]. I genuinely adore them in a way that I never knew I could adore any little person.\u201d<\/p>\n
