\u201cLate Night\u201d host Seth Meyers<\/a> laid into supporters of Donald Trump<\/a> over their continued belief that the president is being honest with them about the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cHe keeps claiming that the U.S. has already won the war with Iran, even though \u2013 and I don\u2019t know if you\u2019ve heard this \u2013 the war is still happening,\u201d Meyers said before playing a clip from Sunday of Trump boasting to reporters that the U.S. controls the Strait of Hormuz and that Iran doesn\u2019t \u201ccontrol anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Meyers explained that the opposite of what Trump claimed is actually true, and that the president\u2019s supporters are having an increasingly difficult time understanding the reality of the situation. He then played a clip from Fox News<\/a> host Maria Bartiromo<\/a>, where she seemed utterly befuddled that Iran could still strike U.S. assets in the Middle East, despite its military being \u201cobliterated\u201d as Trump continuously claims. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cOh man, I would just give yourself a minute to break that down on your own and see what you come up with,\u201d Meyers said. \u201cHow can they fight this way when the president told us they can\u2019t fight this way?
