This Past Weekend<\/a>\u00a0podcast earlier this month, the \u201cMy Way\u201d hitmaker said he has a difficult time meeting new women, despite his stardom.<\/span> <\/p>\n\u201cIt\u2019s really not that easy to meet a girl when you\u2019re doing what we\u2019re doing,\u201d he explained to the podcast\u2019s host Theo Von. \u201cI mean, I\u2019m not going to meet a girl at a show, I\u2019m confined to the back on a bus and I\u2019m not going to meet a girl on Instagram. And when you get to a place where people are,\u00a0it gets tough to know who you\u2019re meeting for what.\u201d<\/p>\n
Although he enjoys being the center of attention in his career, Green said he\u2019s not a fan of the attention in his personal life. <\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t mind being the center of attention at a show, or if I\u2019m in a town, I\u2019m playing a show, and I go to a restaurant or a bar down the street,\u201d he said. \u201cBut I don\u2019t like being the center of attention when I\u2019m not supposed to. That always makes me feel odd.\u201d <\/p>\n
He then noted, \u201cI don\u2019t like to feel like if I went to another show and people were asking me for a picture and there was somebody else on stage, that would make me feel really, really rude.\u201d <\/p>\n
Green Says He\u2019s Focusing on Having a More Personal Life Soon <\/h2>\n
While his music career is flourishing, Green admitted that he\u2019s ready to have a more personal life sometime soon. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sort of like, grind right now, keep my nose down, say yes to everything. And then in a couple of years, things will stop doing this,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd they\u2019ll kind of plane off, and I\u2019ll have this career, and I\u2019ll say, \u2018Alright, I\u2019m going to play 40 or 60 shows a year. I might film a little TV show or a movie or whatever, and then I can have a life outside of it.\u2019 But it\u2019s just tough to do right now.\u201d <\/p>\n
Although he is ready for a personal life, Green said he\u2019s really excited about becoming a coach on The Voice. He will be coaching alongside Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levin, and Queen Latifah during the show\u2019s Season 30. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey were considering me. I sort of told them that I got what they wanted,\u201d he said about joining the show. \u201cThey want somebody that\u2019s sort of funny, sort of dry, that cuts up. And they came to a show, and I had a little Q&A with somebody beforehand, and we cut up back and forth.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThen I went on Jimmy Fallon, and they got me on the couch,\u201d he added. \u201cAnd we had a little duck call moment that was funny. And that\u2019s how I got the job, just goofing off.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
