Gayle King<\/strong> is fighting back after a publication referred to her World Cup outfit as “frumpy” and “dowdy.”<\/p>\n The CBS<\/a> News anchor, 71, attended the Argentina vs. Spain final of the FIFA World Cup and posed on the red carpet\u00a0at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey sporting a Boston Proper tank top, Alice + Olivia cargo pants, and silver Sneex shoes. However, an unnamed publication wasn’t impressed with the legendary journalist’s outfit and named her one of the \u201cworst-dressed\u201d stars of the big event. However, King didn’t take the criticism sitting down.<\/p>\n During the July 21 episode of CBS Mornings<\/em>, King defended her look, as did her colleagues.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t realize that the World Cup had become such a fashion show,\u201d King shared. \u201cI really didn\u2019t get it, not that I\u2019m sensitive or anything about it,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n She also pointed out that Kylie Jenner<\/a><\/strong> and Blake Lively<\/a><\/strong> were also placed on the worst-dressed list, adding, \u201cI think all these women look great. Bumpus<\/strong>, was having an affair. To make matters worse, the woman was in her home at the time.<\/p>\n \u201cThe alarm was set, which I thought, \u2018That\u2019s strange, because you\u2019re in here by yourself,\u2019\u201d King said. \u201cYou\u2019re a big ass, grown ass man. He never sets the alarm. And next thing I know, he comes flying out of the room and he\u2019s got a towel on,\u201d King shared.<\/p>\n Her husband told her\u00a0\u201cthere\u2019s somebody in\u201d the house, so she started searching to find out who it was, \u201coblivious\u201d to what he was telling her.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t believe him,\u201d she noted. \u201cI get down and there they are \u2014 or there she is cowering behind the door in my towel.
