Inde Navarrette is currently flying high following her star-making role as Nikki in Obsession<\/a>, but the actress has faced accusations of being \u201crude\u201d after a fan gifted her a rare edition of a Call of Duty game. However, others have jumped in to defend her.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In case you didn\u2019t know, Inde is a massive gamer. Long before her role in Curry Barker\u2019s<\/a> horror hit, the actress started streaming under the Twitch handle indenavarrette in July 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While Obsession wasn\u2019t her first acting gig \u2013 she also starred in 13 Reasons Why and Superman & Lois \u2013 clips of her gaming really took off following the global success of her latest film.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Some of the most popular videos show her playing games like The Last of Us, but most of the focus has been on her expertise in the Call of Duty franchise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n And so, over the weekend, she was included in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Fanatics Fest panel in New York. As she walked out, a fan gifted her a sealed early copy of Modern Warfare 2.<\/span><\/p>\n @collect<\/a> <\/p>\n A fan surprised \u201cObsession\u201d star Inde Navarrette with a rare copy of Call of Duty \ud83e\udd79 Before her movie career took off, Navarrette spent time streaming games on Twitch and has said gaming helped her get through a difficult stretch between acting roles, making this gift feel even more personal. Safe to say this is one collectible she\u2019ll never forget.<\/p>\n \u266c original sound \u2013 Fanatics Collect<\/a> <\/p>\n The now-viral clip shows the fan explaining, \u201cThis is one of the rarest, earliest copies of Modern Warfare 2.\u201d Inde<\/a> excitedly adds, \u201cThis is the 2009 version,\u201d to which the fan says, \u201cYes. And one recently sold for $1000.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Indeed, if you look on eBay, you\u2019ll see multiple copies selling for between $1000-$1500 \u2013 one<\/a> is even going for nearly $25,000.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In response, Inde says, \u201cWell, I\u2019m not selling this one.\u201d When asked where she\u2019s going to put it, she replies, \u201cIn my house. In my room,\u201d before walking away.<\/span><\/p>\n Although it\u2019s clear Inde is excited by the gift, some viewers have taken issue with her response, with some noting that she doesn\u2019t thank the fan in the video.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cNot even a thank you,\u201d wrote one on TikTok, while another commented, \u201cNo thank you is crazy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cShe didn\u2019t even ask if it\u2019s for her,\u201d added a third, and a fourth simply said, \u201cRude.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Others believe actors and celebrities shouldn\u2019t be given handouts. \u201cWhy are we handing out strangers free sh*t, like these actors aren\u2019t rich,\u201d said one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Another wrote, \u201cSo somebody spent $1000 on a videogame just to give it to a rich celebrity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n But the backlash has been met with a wave of commenters jumping in to defend the star, with many pointing out that she may have thanked the fan off screen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIf there\u2019s a cut in the video you can assume they probably said thanks,\u201d said one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Another pointed out, \u201cThis reaction is 100% better than a little \u2018thank you\u2019 with no facial expressions besides a forced smile.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n A third added, \u201cGood lord let her be excited she\u2019s CLEARLY grateful.\u201d And a fourth chimed in, \u201c\u2018Ungrateful\u2019 and then shows the most genuine expression of gratefulness in history.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n And on the topic of her being called a \u201crich\u201d actor, one person said, \u201cWhy are people in the comments acting like anyone besides maybe Curry Barker<\/a> is rich?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cInde got paid 20k for the entire movie and most actors esp indie actors are severely underpaid.
