Ozzy Osbourne<\/a>\u2019s wife Sharon Osbourne<\/a> is celebrating her late husband.<\/p>\n To mark one year since the Black Sabbath icon died at age 76, Sharon spoke to BBC Radio WM<\/a> about Ozzy\u2019s life and legacy in a new interview shared on Wednesday, July 22.<\/p>\n The TV personality, 73, told the outlet she wants fans to \u201cremember how funny [Ozzy] was \u2014 funny and charismatic and real.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAs Ozzy would say, \u2018when you want to remember me, just yank up the music really loud, as loud as you can get it, and just head bang\u2019,\u201d Sharon expressed, noting that he was \u201cauthentic\u201d throughout his life. \u201cHe never tried to be anything other than what he was, and he would tell you the truth about everything and that was him, you knew where you were with him.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe was just genuine, so genuine and funny,\u201d added Sharon, who was also Ozzy\u2019s former manager. \u201cI mean, we could have the worst arguments in the world but we would end up laughing because he would say something so ridiculous that we would just crack up.\u201d<\/p>\n Ozzy died on July 22, 2025. A death certificate obtained by PEOPLE at the time noted\u00a0that Ozzy died of \u201cout of hospital cardiac arrest\u201d and \u201cacute myocardial infarction,\u201d with coronary artery disease and Parkinson\u2019s disease with autonomic dysfunction listed as \u201cjoint causes.\u201d<\/p>\n Ozzy and Sharon OsbourneCredit: Steve Granitz\/WireImage<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n Sharon spoke about how Ozzy\u2019s final concert at Villa Park in July 2025 raised money for three charities<\/a>: Cure Parkinson\u2019s, Acorns Children\u2019s Hospice and Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital\u2019s charity.\u00a0<\/p>\n She assured that support for the charities \u201cwill go on\u201d as they look to \u201cfind a cure for Parkinson\u2019s, because people don\u2019t realize it\u2019s more and more prevalent.\u201d<\/p>\n In celebration of Ozzy\u2019s life, the first-ever \u201cOzzy Day\u201d<\/a>\u00a0 (featuring live performances of Black Sabbath classics<\/a>, orchestral sets, public art and gatherings of heavy metal super fans) was held in his U.K hometown of Birmingham on July 22.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the home of metal,\u201d Sharon told BBC Radio WM of Birmingham. \u201cIt\u2019s Ozzy\u2019s home, it\u2019s where he was born, what he loved and [Ozzy Day] wouldn\u2019t work anywhere else\u2026 He loved this city, he loved its people. He was proud of being a Brummie and that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsewhere in the interview, Sharon said of Ozzy, \u201cHe was just a real bloke, a really good bloke with a big heart and he wanted to give back.\u201d<\/p>\n
