The Ultimatum<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Killian Grondin<\/strong> revealed that he and Ashley Wilson<\/strong> are no longer together after she called off their engagement \u2014 months after he broke both of his legs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not engaged anymore. Ashley ended things with me,\u201d Killian exclusively told Us<\/em> on Tuesday, July 21. \u201cI want to say seven or eight months after the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Killian claimed Ashley waited to leave<\/a> until he started to heal from an injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought I was still 20. I was doing a back flip and I broke both of [my legs] at the same time,\u201d he said. \u201cAs soon as my legs were somewhat healed and I could somewhat stand up in the boots, Ashley decided to go get a one-bedroom condo behind my back without telling me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reality star alleged he didn\u2019t get any notice about his engagement ending, telling Us, \u201cThe next day she told me that she was moving out, so she packed within two days. I helped her pack and move into her new place. Then we didn\u2019t speak for about three months or so.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following their dramatic split<\/a>, Killian and Ashley have since gotten to a better place.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe started hanging out a little bit here and there as friends. We were trying to be cordial, go to church together and then we kind of realized this is not going to work,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to let go of the emotions and basically be in a friendship when you were just engaged. We decided that we needed space from each other, but now we obviously are talking again and trying to take care of her feelings and just be there for her \u2014 especially with her mother passing away.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Ultimatum<\/em> follows real-life couples<\/a> who enter \u201ctrial\u201d marriages with a new connection before deciding whether they\u2019re ready to get engaged to their original partner. When the hit Netflix series returned for season 4 in July, Killian partnered up with Hayley Hendrich<\/strong>, while Ashley explored the dating experiment with Blake Robertson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was difficult after The Ultimatum. I would get home and I would maybe forget to hold the door open for Ashley or something little. I would get [a] little side comment like, \u2018I bet you would do that for Hayley.\u2019 [We] would start bickering and it was definitely hard coming back to reality,\u201d Killian shared. \u201cWe\u2019re going back to work and people [are] asking us about how everything was. I broke both my legs at the same time, so I was in a wheelchair for six months. Ashley had to take care of me for about six and a half months, which was pretty brutal for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cIt was definitely tough. We argued. There were times where we wouldn\u2019t talk for the whole day because she was upset and in her head. We went to therapy for it, so we did therapy by ourselves and then also couples therapy. It was definitely not the easiest thing to come back home to after the show.\u201d<\/p>\n
