The recent meeting between Prince Harry <\/a>and his father King Charles<\/a> has seemingly opened a new chapter in their relationship. Is reconciliation possible? It all seemed like a faraway dream not so long ago, but now that the King and his son have not just met, but Meghan Markle and Harry\u2019s kids<\/a> were also present, it all feels closer to becoming true.<\/p>\n

Closer<\/em><\/a> is reporting that the King walked out of the meeting \u201cvery pleased\u201d and with a renewed sense for the future and his chances of getting to really know his grandchildren. A source told the outlet, \u201cCharles came away from this visit very pleased. Spending time with Archie and Lilibet meant the world to him, and he has told everyone they were an absolute delight.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the King also reportedly had an \u201cultimatum\u201d for Harry and Meghan<\/a>, too: \u201cAs much as this was a chance for Charles to spend time with his grandchildren, it wasn\u2019t the only thing on the agenda. He also made a point to make sure Harry and Meghan understand exactly where they stand and that, from now on, things happen on his terms, or not at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018This is their absolute last chance; if they put a foot wrong again, that\u2019s it. \u2018 He is being very clear about that. Harry\u2019s been told he needs to take a back seat and trust his father to handle things his way, in his timing, even if it\u2019s slower than he and Meghan would like.\u2019<\/p>\n

According to an insider, \u201cAbove all else, they need to keep their mouths shut about anything that goes on behind Palace walls. Charles also expects Harry to conduct himself with the humility and grace he was raised with, rather than trying to call the shots or rising to every bit of bait.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he can follow the rules, there is a path back, but if there are any more leaks or public tantrums or any signs of disrespect towards the monarchy, Charles has made it clear that will be the end of things for good. This is well and truly the last chance.\u201d<\/p>\n

This comes after Hollywood insider Rob Shuter <\/a>reported that Harry is eager for a reconciliation. \u201cNo one doubts Harry misses parts of his old life,\u201d\u00a0one senior royal source told Naughty But Nice<\/em>.\u00a0\u201cThe question is what exactly he misses. Is it his family\u2014or the status, security, and influence that came with being a working royal?\u201d<\/p>\n

Another insider put it this way: \u201cTrust has been shattered,\u201d adding, \u201cPrivate family conversations have become books, television interviews, documentaries, lawsuits, and endless headlines. People inside the Palace are asking one question: what\u2019s different this time?\u201d<\/p>\n

Reportedly, there\u2019s no interest in the \u201chalf-in, half-out\u201d arrangement Harry proposed in 2020. \u201cThe late Queen said no, and that answer still stands,\u201d\u00a0a palace source said.\u00a0\u201cYou can\u2019t be a part-time royal. You\u2019re either all in or you\u2019re all out.\u201d<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t mean relationships cannot be repaired, however.<\/p>\n
