Chadwick Boseman<\/b><\/a>\u2019s brothers have filed a motion to remove the actor\u2019s widow, Simone Ledward Boseman<\/b><\/a>, as the administrator of his estate.<\/p>\n

Chadwick\u2019s brothers, Kevin <\/b>and Derrick Boseman<\/b>, petitioned the court via documents filed earlier this month and obtained by Us<\/i>, claiming <\/i>Simone, 35, has failed to properly distribute the late actor\u2019s remaining assets. The siblings are now requesting \u2014 six years after Chadwick\u2019s death \u2014 that Simone be removed from her position as estate administrator. (People<\/i><\/span><\/a> was first to report the news.)<\/p>\n

\u201c[Simone] continues to exercise complete control over his estate without input from Leroy<\/b> and Carolyn [Boseman]<\/b>,\u201d Kevin and Derrick\u2019s motion reads, referring to their parents. \u201c[Kevin and Derrick] respectfully request that this court enter an order directing [Simone] to show cause for why she should not be held in contempt for disobeying the court\u2019s order. [Kevin and Derrick] also ask that the court compel [Simone] to distribute the remaining estate assets, provide a full accounting with receipts for her time as administrator and remove her from serving as administrator going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

The petition stipulated that Simone is entitled to 50 percent of Chadwick\u2019s assets<\/a> since the Black Panther <\/i>star died without a will, and that Chadwick\u2019s parents should receive 25 percent of the trust.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tChadwick Boseman\u2019s family and coworkers delivered emotional tributes to the late actor during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. Black Panther director Ryan Coogler couldn\u2019t help but shed tears as he praised his colleague as \u201can incredibly humble teacher.\u201d \u201cThis is something that people who maybe played ice hockey with Wayne Gretzky can attest to, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cNearly four years later, [Simone] has still not distributed the estate, nor has she filed a petition for discharge with receipts,\u201d the court filing reads. \u201cInstead, [Simone] continues to exert unilateral control over Decedent\u2019s estate, denying Decedent\u2019s family long overdue closure or participation in decision-making regarding matters affecting Leroy and Carolyn\u2019s interests in [Chadwick\u2019s] estate.\u201d<\/p>\n
