The exhibit remains on display through Oct. 17. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Admission to the gallery and the reception is free. The exhibit includes handmade and mass-produced toys, dolls and game paraphernalia, as well as a memories section, where individuals can share their personal reflections on childhood play. A selection of teas, coffees and beverages accompany a curated afternoon tea menu; attendees can win a basket of female-inspired gifts from the Clinton Museum Store.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s part of the Clinton Center\u2019s America250 commemorations. Historical attire is not required but encouraged. Admission is $65, including food and beverages, via the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clintonfoundation.org\/events\/clinton-presidential-center\/suffragist-tea-party\/\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Arkansas allowed women to vote in primary elections starting in 1917, the only non-suffrage state to grant this right. On July 28, 1919, it became the 12th state to ratify the 19th Amendment, the first Southern state to do so.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018The Singing Word\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Singer-songwriter Gene Reid and poet and fiction writer Marvin Schwartz pair up for \u201cThe Singing Word: An Evening of Live Music, Video, and Original Writing,\u201d on Saturday at Unitarian Universalist Church of Little Rock, 1818 Reservoir Road, Little Rock. Reid will perform live and via video and Schwartz will read from his work; the program also features a performance of Schwartz\u2019s one-act comedy \u201cSpin Class.\u201d Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is free but there is a suggested $5 donation. Markham St. at Broadway.<\/p>\n<p>Nell Campbell, who played Columbia in the film and is one of several original cast members appearing on the tour (the others are Barry Bostwick, who played Brad Majors, and Patricia Quinn, who played Magenta), will be the host.<\/p>\n<p>Audience members can compete in a \u201cSpooktacular\u201d Costume Contest for the top three best costumes of the evening.
