\u201cSeinfeld\u201d star Jason Alexander has apologized after model Courtney Stodden publicly called him out over a salacious 2012 comedy sketch<\/a> the pair made when Stodden, now 31, was only 17 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cLooking back at the comedy sketch in which Ms. Stodden and I participated in 2012, I completely agree that it was inappropriate and I truly regret it,\u201d Alexander <\/span>told TMZ<\/span><\/a> on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cBut more importantly, I am deeply sorry for any harm or distress it has caused Ms. Stodden,\u201d he added. \u201cI offer her my sincerest apologies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n In the Funny or Die sketch, Alexander spoofed the talk show \u201cDr. Phil\u201d and other daytime talk shows. The sketch showed Alexander rubbing a cellphone on a bikini-clad Stodden\u2019s breast.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Stodden revisited the sketch and condemned it in an <\/span>Instagram post<\/span><\/a> Monday alongside an image of her from the skit where she was half-dressed and Alexander was fully clothed in a suit. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cDuring this comedy sketch, Jason Alexander repeatedly rubbed his phone across my breasts while saying there was \u2018no signal\u2019 in my head but \u2018plenty of signal\u2019 in my chest,\u201d she wrote. \u201cLater in the sketch, he joked that when I turned 18 he\u2019d like to take me behind the couch and \u2018have his way\u2019 with me.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Noting that IMDB credits Alexander as one of the writers of the sketch, she wrote, \u201cAs an adult, that fact has become harder\u2014not easier\u2014for me to understand.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Stodden wrote that at the time she was a minor and \u201cdidn\u2019t have the legal power to decide whether I wanted to participate,\u201d adding, \u201cThe contracts were signed by adults.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI was the only child in the room. I felt so alone,\u201d she continued. \u201cLooking back now, I don\u2019t see comedy. I see a 17-year-old girl whose body became part of an adult joke.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She also challenged critics who claimed that she readily took part in the sketch. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cPeople still say, \u2018You chose to be there.\u2019 Legally, I couldn\u2019t make those decisions for myself. That\u2019s the point.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Stodden and Alexander didn\u2019t immediately respond to celebrity.land\u2019s requests for comment. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n On Wednesday, Stodden, who tied the knot with actor Doug Hutchison in May 2011 when she was 16 years old and he was 51, told TMZ<\/a> that she has accepted Alexander\u2019s apology. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI believe the most meaningful apology is one that creates change,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cI would encourage him to support and donate to Unchained At Last, an organization I\u2019m proud to advocate alongside that is leading the fight to end child marriage in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
