They also clarified some moments that were \u201cmisinterpreted due to editing,\u201d saying that Jessica Grace\u2019s comments about being humiliated were misconstrued, and referred to the \u201crejection she has sometimes felt in the relationship vs. any specific practice or actions.\u201d They also addressed their engagement timeline, saying editing made it look like Edris only proposed to prevent a trial marriage, but \u201cin reality, these events happened hours apart.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair ended the statement saying, \u201cWhile the reunion was painful to watch, the dialogue did lead us to reconnect and attend therapy following filming.
