Ten new songs in \u201cHymns for Home and Church\u201d are now available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. This release is part of an ongoing, phased rollout that will continue through next year. The songs will be available later today in the Gospel Library.<\/p>\n
The hymns in this release include:<\/p>\n
With these additions, Hymns for Home and Church now include 82 songs in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.<\/p>\n
Additional hymns are being released in other languages, including 22 in Armenian and Malagasy, nine in Cebuano, Indonesian, Italian, Samoan, and Tongan, and 12 in German, Korean, and Tagalog.<\/p>\n
Using the New Hymns<\/b><\/h3>\n
Mateus Rangel, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, serves as the music coordinator in his Portuguese-speaking congregation in Provo, Utah. He has seen the blessings of helping members become more engaged with singing the new hymns.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is power in music,\u201d said Rangel. \u201cSo, I started texting and sharing with them the hymns that I [had] selected for the meeting in advance, and I shared the link to the [recording] so they could listen to it before the meeting.\u201d<\/p>\n Mateus Rangel messages members of his congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Provo, Utah, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, to share which new hymns they will sing during their Sunday service.<\/span>2026 by Intellectual Reserve, Inc. Some recordings have children\u2019s voices \u2014 a feature Rangel uses with his family.<\/p>\n \u201cMy kids just got familiarized with the new hymns because they have something to connect with, more than the lyrics and the melodies,\u201d he said. \u201cThey also have the kids\u2019 voice.\u201d<\/p>\n He said he appreciates the simple truths shared through the new hymns, as they help him teach his children.<\/p>\n \u201cWe love singing \u2018When the Savior Comes Again,\u2019 and it\u2019s powerful to have my kids singing the lyrics with us,\u201d Rangel said. \u201cThe other day, my second child asked me if I knew the day when the Savior would come again. I [used] this hymn to explain that we have no idea, but we will be happy when He does come again.<\/p>\n \u201cI love the way simple truths are spoken through the lyrics of the new hymns.\u201d<\/p>\n The new Christ-focused hymns also help Rangel select which hymns to sing on Sunday.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDownload Photos<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n \u201cAll the hymns are connected to Christ, and this is our main message. This is the purpose we meet every Sunday \u2013\u2013 to increase our faith in Christ,\u201d Rangel said. While priesthood leaders and music coordinators work together to align the themes of the spoken messages and the hymns, Rangel appreciates how the new hymns \u201ctalk about Christ.\u201d<\/p>\n Through these simple efforts, Rangel has felt a change in his family and congregation.<\/p>\n \u201cI can see the impact on my family, my kids, and my congregation,\u201d he said. \u201cPeople are more inspired to follow Jesus Christ as they learn [by] singing the new hymns.\u201d<\/p>\n In Japan, Tak Mochizuki uses new hymns in the seminary classes he teaches. One of his students, Yue Tanaka shared, \u201cThe new music feels very modern, and it has become more familiar to me.\u201d<\/p>\n Mitsuki Mimaki, another one of Mochizuki\u2019s students, said, \u201cI love singing the new hymns.
