The new Pulp<\/a> film, What Do You Do For An Encore?<\/em>, has been given a one-night-only release date in cinemas. Directed by Garth Jennings \u2013 who helmed the music videos for their songs \u2018Help The Aged\u2019 and \u2018A Little Soul\u2019 \u2013 the 90-minute movie features narration from frontman Jarvis Cocker<\/a>, and charts the band\u2019s \u201cextraordinary journey from obscurity to cultural touchstone\u201d.<\/p>\n Today (Thursday July 23), global distributor MUBI has confirmed that the firm will preview for one night only in UK and Irish cinemas on September 18, before heading to Canadian theatres on September 23 and US cinemas on September 24.<\/p>\n After the cinema run, the movie will be released exclusively on MUBI later in the year.<\/p>\n Expected to capture the spirit of the classic Talking Heads<\/a> 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense<\/a><\/em>, Pulp\u2019s new film will blend the \u201cbrilliantly choreographed stage spectacle\u201d that the band had on their most recent arena tour<\/a> \u2013 celebrating the release of \u2018More\u2019<\/a>, their first album in 24 years \u2013 along with four decades of \u201ccolourful, never-seen-before archival material.\u201d<\/p>\n
