Seth MacFarlane\u2019s<\/strong>Dungeon Crawler Carl<\/strong>\u00a0just made its first major casting move, and fans of the audiobooks will love it. The\u00a0Peacock<\/strong>\u00a0series found its\u00a0Princess Donut<\/strong>\u00a0in someone who already knows the character better than anyone.<\/p>\n Audiobook star Jeff Hays will voice Princess Donut in Peacock\u2019s live-action Dungeon Crawler Carl TV series, according to a press release from NBCUniversal.\u00a0<\/p>\n Seth MacFarlane\u2019s Fuzzy Door and Universal Global Television are producing the adaptation of Matt Dinniman\u2019s bestselling LitRPG novels. Notably, the announcement came during Penguin Random House\u2019s Spotlight on Matt Dinniman panel at San Diego Comic-Con.<\/p>\n Hays surprised fans by joining a conversation between series writer Chris Yost and author Dinniman live on stage. Additionally, he narrates and produces all eight currently released Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobooks. This marks the first casting news since Peacock ordered the show to series last month.<\/p>\n For the uninitiated, Princess Donut is a tiara-wearing talking cat who belonged to Carl\u2019s ex-girlfriend, Beatrice. An alien attack forces Carl and remaining human survivors underground into a televised competition. As a result, Carl teams up with Donut as his partner in the deadly intergalactic game show.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Chris Yost serves as writer and showrunner on the series. He will executive produce alongside MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Rachel Hargreaves-Heald for Fuzzy Door. Dinniman also serves as co-executive producer on the adaptation.<\/p>\n Dinniman\u2019s Dungeon Crawler Carl series has sold over 14 million copies across all formats. Furthermore, on Audible, the Hays-narrated series has clocked over 140 million listening hours. Ace\u2019s print editions have landed on the New York Times bestseller list for over 115 weeks. The series currently consists of eight books out of a total of 10 planned novels. Matthew N.
