This sixth studio outing will also be the first from the band since 2010. The song \u201c<strong>Psyclops<\/strong>\u201d is the lead single and has just made it out below. Guitarist <strong>Craig Locicero<\/strong> went on to say the following about it:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c\u2018<strong>Psyclops<\/strong>\u2018 was the final song completed for our newest self-titled offering. It was part of the last batch of music completed with <strong>Jeremy Von Epp<\/strong> &amp; myself on the home stretch of our writing sessions &amp; it came together quickly. The song itself is a hypnotizing stomper. Heavy footed like millions of people marching against how things stand in the status quo. <strong>Norman<\/strong>\u2019s lyrics for \u2018<strong>Psyclops<\/strong>\u2018 should be left to the interpretation of the listeners. The chorus paints a vivid picture\u2026\u2019<strong>Forsaken<\/strong>, fast asleep and trapped inside a maze, Complacent eyes securely locked in an obscure gaze.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Locicero<\/strong>, drummer <strong>Chris Kontos<\/strong> and <strong>Zack Ohren<\/strong> ( <strong>Machine Head<\/strong>, <strong>All Shall Perish<\/strong>) assumed the production duties on this new album. <strong>Locicero<\/strong> himself went on to say of the following of the album as well:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cMaking \u2018<strong>Forbidden<\/strong>\u2018 felt more like an odyssey than a typical recording process. We set out to create a record that reminds people why they fell in love with thrash and heavy metal in the first place, embracing raw energy, melody, and the imperfections that give heavy music its character.
