From the debut of the Douglas County Rodeo Stampede to patriotic tributes honoring America\u2019s heroes, this year\u2019s rodeo continues to grow while staying rooted in the traditions that have made it one of Northern Nevada\u2019s premier western events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEach year, our goal is to create an experience that offers something for everyone while staying true to the values that built DCR,\u201d says Bailey Sanchez, co-owner of Douglas County Rodeo. \u201cWhether you\u2019re coming for the rodeo, the concerts, the new Stampede, or simply to spend time with family and friends, we\u2019re excited to welcome our community back for another unforgettable year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Douglas County Rodeo has become so much more than a weekend event,\u201d adds Brooke Sullivan, co-owner of Douglas County Rodeo. \u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity to celebrate western heritage, give back to our community, and bring people together. Douglas County Rodeo Stampede<\/strong> at the Douglas County Fairgrounds featuring flat track motorcycle racing, including youth, vintage, amateur, professional, and Hooligan classes, along with the fan favorite Outlaws vs. First Responders race.<\/li>\n<li>Live entertainment, food vendors, local businesses, and family friendly activities.<\/li>\n<li>Tattoo Show by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ricestreettattoo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rice Street Tattoo<\/a> showcasing talented tattoo artists and live tattooing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Friday, September 11<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/douglascountynvrodeo.com\/dcr-golf-tournament\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Douglas County Rodeo Golf Roundup <\/strong><\/a>at Carson Valley Golf Course.<\/li>\n<li>Opening night of the Douglas County Rodeo featuring rodeo competitions, Mutton Bustin\u2019, Kids Day activities, food and retail vendors, community exhibits, and the Tattoo Show by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ricestreettattoo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rice Street Tattoo<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Live concert following the rodeo featuring <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.redferrin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Redferrin<\/strong>.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Patriot night<\/strong> \u2013 attendees wear red, white, and blue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Saturday, September 12<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Second night of rodeo action featuring family entertainment, vendors, community exhibits, the Tattoo Show by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ricestreettattoo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rice Street Tattoo<\/a>, and western traditions.<\/li>\n<li>Live concert following the rodeo featuring <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.caseydonahew.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Casey Donahew<\/strong>.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sunday, September 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the rodeo weekend, this year\u2019s theme,\u00a0<strong>\u201cHonoring Our Heroes,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0will pay tribute to military members, veterans, first responders, and their families while remembering the lives forever changed by\u00a0September 11\u00a0through special ceremonies and patriotic moments woven into each night\u2019s programming.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Giving back remains at the heart of the Douglas County Rodeo. This year, the organization will donate\u00a0<strong>$7,000<\/strong>\u00a0to the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/communityservices.douglascountynv.gov\/about\/about_the_community_services_department\/community_services_foundation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Douglas County Community Services Foundation<\/a>.
