Charli xcx<\/a>\u2019s seventh studio album, Music, Fashion, Film<\/em>, is finally out.<\/p>\n

On Friday (July 24), the singer released her new LP that features previously released tracks \u201cRock Music,\u201d \u201cSS26,\u201d \u201cCamera,\u201d and \u201cWink Wink<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charli will be going on tour in support of the project this fall. The Music, Fashion, Film <\/em>tour kicks off on Sept. 11 in Philadelphia and will wrap up on Oct. 23 in Paradise, Nevada. Underscores will open up.<\/p>\n

The album is of course a follow-up to Brat<\/em>, her 2024 album that became a cultural phenomenon \u2014 a phenomenon she poked fun at in her own mockumentary The Moment<\/em>. It\u2019s also preceded by the Wuthering Heights <\/em>soundtrack album, released in February.<\/p>\n

In an interview <\/a>with Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>, Charli revealed how the album came about during a period when she was ready to step away from making music for a while.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I was really, really ready to peace out and take a break and not make music,” she said. “I felt very creatively drained and not inspired to write anything new. Then suddenly, inspiration came.”<\/p>\n

In that same interview, Charli got candid about how social media had fueled her anxiety in recent years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t really look [at social media] as much anymore. It\u2019s just better for my brain,\u201d Charli admitted. \u201cI know people probably won\u2019t believe me, because I am inherently, at least in the past, a very online artist. But I recently have been really struggling with my mental health to the point where, if I\u2019m being real, I\u2019m in the worst place mentally that I\u2019ve been in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also spoke about how she didn\u2019t want to recreate the sound of Brat <\/em>on Music, Fashion, Film.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI think for me as an artist it would be extremely uninspiring to attempt to recreate what Brat<\/em> was,\u201d she said. \u201cBecause you sort of adapt and change and you react to the way your previous work is interpreted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brat <\/em>ultimately <\/em>peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, later netting the pop auteur three Grammy wins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
