\nTrust, established by the former Duchess of York in 2020, is now
\nlisted as \u201cremoved\u201d on the public register of charities, bringing
\nthe organisation to an official end months after it announced it
\nwould cease operating.<\/p>\nThe charity confirmed in February that it would close \u201cfor the
\nforeseeable future\u201d, saying the decision had followed \u201csome months\u201d
\nof discussions. At the time, no further explanation was provided
\nfor the move.<\/p>\n
However, the announcement came just days after fresh documents
\nreleased by the US Department of Justice renewed scrutiny of the
\nDuchess\u2019s past friendship with the late convicted sex offender
\nJeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n
Among millions of documents published earlier this year were
\nemails that appeared to show Ferguson remained in contact with
\nEpstein while he was serving a prison sentence in 2009 for
\nsoliciting sex from a minor. Being named in the released documents
\ndoes not, in itself, indicate any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n
The correspondence reportedly included messages in which
\nFerguson described Epstein as \u201cthe brother I have always wished
\nfor\u201d and suggested she met him in Miami shortly after his release
\nfrom prison.<\/p>\n
Representatives for Sarah Ferguson have not publicly commented
\non the newly completed closure of Sarah\u2019s Trust.<\/p>\n
According to its website, Sarah\u2019s Trust was dedicated to
\nsupporting grassroots organisations tackling humanitarian and
\nenvironmental challenges, food insecurity and the causes of extreme
\npoverty.<\/p>\n
Sarah Ferguson, who was married to Prince Andrew from 1986 until
\ntheir divorce in 1996, has continued to undertake charitable work
\nand public engagements in recent years. Despite no longer being a
\nworking member of the Royal Family, she has remained a prominent
\npublic figure through her writing, campaigning and support for
\nvarious causes.<\/p>\n
Buckingham Palace has never had any involvement in Sarah\u2019s
\nTrust, and the charity operated independently of the Royal
