Check it out below.<\/p>\n<p>The stream was held live on Twitch and YouTube last night (Thursday July 23), following the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/tag\/grammys\">Grammy<\/a>-nominated singer and producer <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/arca-announces-new-album-xxxxx-and-ambitious-daniel-sannwald-directed-livestream-3958014\">announcing details of her long-anticipated album<\/a> earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>That record is set to drop on July 31 via XL Recordings, and marks her first new music since the expansive <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/arca-kick-i-album-review-2694093\">\u2018Kick\u2019 pentalogy<\/a> ended in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>On last night\u2019s livestream, Arca broke out an ambitious two-hour performance, giving fans a first glimpse of the album. CREDIT: Press<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Highlights included the elaborate renditions of \u2018Willow\u2019, \u2018Tacondeando\u2019 and \u2018Grip\u2019, as well as back-to-back performances of \u2018Fxck\u2019 and \u2018Finisher\u2019, where the experimental Venezuelan artist smeared paint and synthetic blood across a canvas.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the livestream, Arca shared that the performance would be presented with support from Feeld and told fans: \u201cWith Feeld\u2019s support and investment, we\u2019re able to put on a show for you with full glam and budget.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you for supporting experimental art. Please tune in. We\u2019re working really hard to create a great show for you, wherever you are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When the new album was announced, Arca confirmed that it would feature 16-tracks and see her take on a \u201cdarker, more aggressive, more experimental\u201d sound, and develop a record that feels rooted in raw exploration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt seems playful, also mischievous, to interrupt that autopilot,\u201d she explained.
