What\u2019s in it for you? Well, if you\u2019re a fan of Willow, you can gleefully scoop up her second record this year alone, and it\u2019s just as good as the first one she dropped in 2026. The genre-fluid artist with the voice of silk has chops for days.<\/p>\n Milwaukee fans of Ian Sweet pumped about her Oct. 22 show at Falcon Hall<\/u><\/a> get a sneak preview of that set with today\u2019s release of Shiverstruck<\/i>. Jilian Medford\u2019s confessional songs always make us pine for the fall months, so having her drop by during that season will be very fitting.<\/p>\n Will it be a \u201cMusic, Fashion, Film\u201d summer? The only way to find out is to listen to the new Charli XCX album and weigh that notion yourself. Finally, the affable and beloved soft-rocker Robyn Hitchcock is back with his 25th solo record, and it\u2019s a delight for fans of all things jangly. Clean out that record bag and make a beeline to your fave brick and mortar, because this week\u2019s a particular good\u2019n to be a music fan.<\/p>\n Happy New Music Friday!<\/p>\n Willow, <\/b>The Thread<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/a><\/p>\n The artist and producer is back with her eighth studio album, and the genre-fluid wizard once again blends and bends the sounds of rock, R&B, jazz and soul. Making The Thread<\/i> even more amazing is that it\u2019s album number two for her this year alone! Petal Rock Black<\/i> came out in February and was incredible in its own right, so it\u2019s a really good time to be a Willow fan as far as releases go.<\/p>\n For vinyl nerds, find this one on plain black at the shops and also a couple special variants via special order: neon magenta clear cloud vinyl and a purple, black and white swirl option from Three Six Zero Recordings.<\/p>\n Ian Sweet, <\/b>Shiverstruck<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/a><\/p>\n For her pop-rock project, Los Angeles-based musician Jilian Medford composes cinematic songs about feelings that are larger than life. She adds an element of sparkle to everything she writes, and is really great at creating an emotive and cinematic quality to each song (her voice is incredible, too). Ian Sweet\u2019s solid last album SUCKER<\/i> had lots of gems, so we\u2019re glad this new one\u2019s finally out!<\/p>\n For vinyl fans, there\u2019s an early bird vinyl of Shiverstruck available \u2014 a black and baby blue \u201ccornetto\u201d edition with a test-pressing that\u2019s limited to 200 copies \u2014 as well as a bright baby blue version at all the shops.<\/p>\nBest new albums out July 24<\/h3>\n
