Lexington-area music fans will have a chance to support Thumbfest while enjoying live performances and a community gathering at the Blue Water Folk Society\u2019s second annual Patio Party fundraiser on July 29 in Lexington.<\/p>\n\n

According to a community announcement, the event will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at The Village Pub, 7318 Huron Ave. Suite 101, Lexington, and will raise money to help cover costs associated with the annual music festival.<\/p>\n

The fundraiser will feature performances by Michigan singer-songwriter and guitarist Denny Dwyer and Barry Shigelone, who are scheduled to perform country music, original songs and classics from the 1960s and 1970s. A special guest appearance is also planned by 15-year-old local musician Mason Anderson.<\/p>\n

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for outdoor seating.<\/p>\n

Fundraiser supports Thumbfest<\/h2>\n

The Patio Party serves as a fundraiser for Thumbfest, a free, community-focused music festival scheduled for Sept. 5.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

According to the announcement, the one-day event attracts more than 5,000 visitors and features performers from multiple genres along with food trucks, craft vendors and other festival activities.<\/p>\n

Organizers said in the announcement that proceeds from the Patio Party will help support festival expenses ahead of this year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n\n

Giveaway planned for donors<\/h2>\n

The Blue Water Folk Society is also offering a prize drawing to encourage donations.<\/p>\n

Guests who make a $35 donation to Thumbfest before 5:30 p.m. will be entered to win a prize package that includes a $150 gift card to The Village Pub and a $100 gift card to the Lexington Village Theater.<\/p>\n

Organizers plan to draw the winner live at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
