Security was always expected to be tight for the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce<\/a>. Swift is, after all, one of the biggest stars in the world. And though Kelce isn\u2019t anywhere near her level of fame, he is a well-known NFL player and so are most of his friends. So, all in all, the wedding<\/a> was always going to be a who\u2019s who of celebrity guests.<\/p>\n But reportedly, the couple also took steps to protect the privacy of their guests. A new\u00a0Wired<\/em>\u00a0report<\/a> indicates that Madison Square Garden temporarily disabled its on-site surveillance system during the wedding. Indeed, the report indicates that the venue reportedly locked security staff out of its camera network and facial recognition software for seven hours on July 2, the night of the rehearsal dinner, and again for their wedding ceremony on the 3rd.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Related:\u00a0<\/strong>Who has Taylor Swift dated?<\/a><\/p>\n Wired<\/em>\u2019s acquired an internal memo that confirms the shutdown was the result of a \u201cclient privacy request.\u201d But reportedly, this request isn\u2019t normal. \u201cIt has never been done,\u201d the outlet reported, despite the fact that the venue has held a great deal of big events.<\/p>\n Madison Square Garden is currently in\u00a0legal proceedings<\/a>\u00a0against\u00a0Wired<\/em>\u00a0over its reporting on the database. A rep for MSG even called the reporting \u201cinaccurate and false.\u201d<\/p>\n The security system reportedly runs on software called Genetec, with guests passing through biometric scanners as they enter, which allows them to be monitored from camera to camera. Guests at the Swift-Kelce nuptials reportedly bypassed scanners by going through a separate entrance, per\u00a0celebrity.land<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to Wired<\/em>,\u00a0MSG\u2019s outside-facing cameras were left on throughout the Swift-Kelce nuptials.<\/p>\n This comes after the criminal hacker collective ShinyHunters\u00a0leaked\u00a0MSG\u2019s internal \u201ctalent\u201d database<\/a>, which contained nearly 40,000 celebrities and gave some a ranking depending on their \u201crisk level.\u201d The database also tracked the celebrities\u2019 race, gender, and sexual orientation.<\/p>\n Some of Swift\u2019s and Kelce\u2019s guests were already in the database. They had \u201clow\u201d risk scores assigned, including Selena Gomez <\/a>and her husband Benny Blanco, Benson Boone, Ice Spice, TV host Michael Strahan, and Mariska Hargitay<\/a>.<\/p>\n A source told Wire that if you\u2019re a celebrity and you have a risk score, \u201cyou\u2019ve done something in the publicity world, the social media world, that has caught the attention of the wrong people.\u201d The database reportedly has entries dating back to December 2020 and includes updates as recent as early June of this year.<\/p>\n \u201cIt doesn\u2019t have to be that serious. You could just be critical of the team or the place itself,\u201d the source added. \u201cYou could post that you had a hard time getting in and you really didn\u2019t like the way you were treated at one of the gates. Which is really nothing, right?\u201d<\/p>\n The talent database also had 93 entries marked as LGBTQIA.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve never met James Dolan. I don\u2019t know the higher-up leadership at Madison Square Garden.
