This week, Billboard’s<\/em> New Music Latin poll \u2014 curated with key recommendations by Billboard<\/em> Latin and Billboard Espa\u00f1ol <\/em>editors \u2014 features a new album by Anitta, EQUILIBRIVM II, <\/em>and Cypress Hill’s first-ever Spanish-language project, Dios Bendiga<\/em>, featuring Latin rappers Trueno and Alem\u00e1n, to name a few.\u00a0<\/p>\n In a two-part, 32-song album, Anitta<\/a> embraces her culture and identity, while also opening up about her faith, ancestry and cleansed soul. The album\u2014mainly in Portuguese but featuring notable songs in English and Spanish\u2014is powered by the soundscape of Brazil, from forr\u00f3 to funk to bossa nova to samba, and includes collabs with key acts from the MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n “I poured my whole self into this album. Anyone who listens will realize that,” she says in a press statement. “These songs reflect so much of my spirituality, my worldview, the Brazilian elements that captivate me, and even touches on my own life story. Every choice\u2014musical or visual\u2014was made with intention. I am very proud of what we are delivering.”<\/p>\n Meanwhile, artists such as Ryan Castro, Lunay and the late Regional Colombian star Yeison Jim\u00e9nez have also dropped new music this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n The most recent New Music Latin poll<\/a> (published on July 17) was topped by Kendo Kaponi’s comeback track “Se Equivocan” with Farruko, which earned more than 64% of the vote.
