Arca has premiered new music from her forthcoming album, \u2018XXXXX\u2019, in a livestream that aired via YouTube and Twitch last night (Thursday, 23rd July).<\/p>\n

Directed by\u00a0Daniel Sannwald, with lighting design by\u00a0Matiere Noire, the two-hour Diva.Experimental broadcast<\/a> was staged live from Barcelona and saw\u00a0Arca\u00a0perform the entirety of the new LP\u00a0inside an abandoned factory ahead of its release next Friday (31st July).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two tracks from the stream \u2013 \u2018Fxck\u2019 and closer \u2018Sue\u00f1o\u2019 \u2013 have now been archived online, and can be watched below.<\/p>\n

During \u2018Fxck\u2019, Arca performed covered in red, blood-like paint while spray-painting a canvas on the floor, while\u00a0\u2018Sue\u00f1o\u2019\u00a0featured a concrete backdrop, red lighting and drone-powered spotlights.<\/p>\n

Arca announced the 16-track \u2018XXXXX<\/a>\u2019 earlier this week.\u00a0It\u2019s her first full-length record since \u2018Kick IIIII\u2019 was released in 2021 as the final instalment of her \u2018KICK\u2019 album series.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, she shared\u00a0a\u00a0remix of the Robyn single, \u2018Sexistential<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

Arca was also among the artists featured in Madonna\u2019s\u00a0Confessions II – The Film<\/a><\/em>. The 14-minute short, an accompaniment to her new album of the same name, additionally starred Shygirl, Honey Dijon and Cole Palmer, among others. She was also credited as a co-producer on the album.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
