Prince Harry is “desperate” to return to the UK and the King is prepared to help, but Meghan Markle and other royals are against the idea, according to reports.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The Duke of Sussex hopes to make his recent trip to Britain a regular occurrence, but the Duchess is not as keen to spend more time away from the US.<\/p>\n
Earlier this month, Harry brought Meghan and their two children Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, to Britain for the first time in four years for a private meeting with King Charles and Queen Camilla.<\/p>\n
TalkTV star Kevin O’Sullivan told Sky News Australia host Danica De Giorgio Harry is “obsessed” with creating a “half-in, half-out” royal lifestyle, splitting his time between the US and UK.<\/p>\n
O\u2019Sullivan claimed: “Remember, Harry and Meghan [wanted] that half-in, half-out royal lifestyle, in other words coming to Britain, doing a few royal functions, opening a few libraries, cutting a few ribbons \u2013 and then going back to America to earn money.<\/p>\n
“That was the half-in, half-out system that the late, great Queen Elizabeth II specifically banned. She said \u2018you\u2019re either in or you\u2019re out, there\u2019s no halfway house\u2019.”<\/p>\n
He claimed Harry may have support from King Charles while other senior royals would push against a “half-in, half-out” approach.<\/p>\n
\u201cHarry is obsessed with getting that halfway house. The King, soft-hearted soul who just wanted to see his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, I think he probably would go along with some kind of arrangement allowing them to to and fro between the two countries,” he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWilliam \u2013 who by the way is basically in charge of the Royal Family, it\u2019s not the King, it\u2019s William \u2013 no way. Camilla doesn\u2019t want it, Anne doesn\u2019t want it, Edward doesn\u2019t want it. None of them want it,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n
The TalkTV host claimed Harry “desperately wants” to “spend more and more time in Britain”, but Meghan “doesn’t want that”.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s obsessed, by the way, right now, with the fact that polls are revealing that Americans have really fallen out of love with Harry and Meghan. Well, Harry, I\u2019ve got bad news for you \u2013 so have Brits,” he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo he\u2019s obsessed with trying to get back some of the life he used to enjoy. Meanwhile, Meghan isn\u2019t at all keen on his half-in, half-out plan either.”<\/p>\n
“She sees their future as an all-American dream, she doesn\u2019t want to go back to Britain. That is causing serious friction,” O’Sullivan claimed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
