After Reacher<\/em><\/a> star Alan Ritchson<\/a> implied that President Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0should go to jail over the files related to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the White House is going on defense.<\/p>\n “Just as President Trump has said, he’s been totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein. And by releasing thousands of pages of documents, cooperating with the House Oversight Committee’s subpoena request, signing the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and calling for more investigations into Epstein’s Democrat friends, President Trump has done more for Epstein’s victims than anyone before him,” White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly<\/a>. “Meanwhile, Democrats like Hakeem Jeffries and Stacey Plaskett have yet to explain why they were soliciting money and meetings from Epstein after he was a convicted sex offender.”<\/p>\n In response to that statement, Deadline<\/a> notes no court has exonerated Trump from the Epstein case. Trump has denied wrongdoing in relation to the case, and the Department of Justice said the Epstein files contain “untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump,” according to BBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ritchson made his comments on Thursday’s episode of Happy Sad Confused With Josh Horowitz<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n “People, I think, are a little bit afraid of me because they’re like, ‘He’s a loose cannon.’ And I’m not. I’m just saying the s*** that everybody should say if they give a s*** about humanity, you know?” he said. “And why am I the exception to the rule? Bitch, everybody else speak up. You are all feeling the same thing, you idiots. Like, get loud and stop like kowtowing to the wrong people. Stop bowing down to people that like have power. You got power, too, man \u2014 the power in numbers. Dude, you know what happened if like everybody felt like me?”<\/p>\n
