His recently released single\u00a0<em>My Boy<\/em>, his first new music in more than two years, finds TEEKS confronting ideas of queerness, masculinity and vulnerability with the same emotional honesty that has made him one of Aotearoa\u2019s most compelling contemporary voices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since breaking through with 2017\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Grapefruit Skies<\/em>\u00a0EP before releasing the platinum-certified debut album\u00a0<em>Something To Feel<\/em>\u00a0in 2021, TEEKS has cultivated a reputation built on restraint rather than spectacle. His rich baritone and deeply personal songwriting have earned him a devoted international audience, alongside accolades including Best M\u0101ori Artist, Best Solo Artist and Best Soul\/R&amp;B Artist at the Aotearoa Music Awards, MTV EMA Best NZ Act and Rolling Stone AU\/NZ\u2019s Best New Artist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His return to the Opera House carries extra significance.
