A distraught Sara Gilson<\/strong> was reportedly overheard in the background of a child\u2019s 9-1-1 phone call prior to the influencer\u2019s death<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m trying to reach him [the child] back, but I could hear a female in the background screaming and crying. Some sort of loud bang in the background,\u201d an Owasso Police Department dispatcher allegedly told first respondents on Thursday, July 23, after receiving an emergency call from \u201ca child who lived at the home,\u201d per a Sunday, July 26, report by People<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gilson, 43, was allegedly shot and killed<\/a> by her estranged husband, Shawn Duffey<\/strong>, who was also found dead in the pair\u2019s Oklahoma home, two weeks after the social media star accused him of pedophilia. Gilson is survived by her two children from a previous relationship.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tInfluencer Sara Gilson was allegedly killed by her estranged husband, Shawn Duffey, mere weeks after she allegedly accused him of being a pedophile. Tulsa\u2019s ABC affiliate reported on July 23, 2026, that Gilson and Duffey were found dead in their Oklahoma City home after a fatal shooting. The outlet stated that the call was placed at 11:15 PM before local officers attended the scene of the alleged murder-suicide. The dispatcher was also reportedly heard speaking to first respondents, who arrived at the scene by 11:18 PM, about a \u201cmale that we were looking for a few weeks ago after he got caught kissing a juvenile.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gilson, a hairstylist who had amassed 69,000 TikTok followers at the time of publication, claimed via the platform two weeks prior to her death that her marriage to Duffey, 48, was over as her ex was allegedly guilty of pedophilia. (Duffey did not publicly address allegations prior to his death.)<\/p>\n

\u201cPreparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon-to-be ex-husband, who I just found out is a pedophile,\u201d the influencer wrote over a July 11 video of herself sitting in a chair and pretending to get mic\u2019ed up: a reference to the current viral social media trend where users pretend to be interviewed by the streaming service.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSara Gilson\u2019s loved ones are remembering the influencer in the days since she was allegedly killed by her estranged husband, Shawn Duffey, in a shocking murder-suicide. \u201cHer last day, she was happy,\u201d Gilson\u2019s best friend Kelsi Lard told People in an interview published on Sunday, July 26, sharing that she was with her \u201cthe same [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the time, Gilson also captioned the post, \u201cI wish I was joking.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to People<\/em>, Duffey had been slapped with a protective order by Gilson on July 10, on behalf of her minor daughter, \u201ca 15-year-old-girl who played on the youth basketball team\u201d that Duffey had coached. The order, which was reportedly valid until Monday, August 24, forced Duffey out of the family home and to stay 100 yards away from Gilson.<\/p>\n

Per an earlier report by local news outlet The Oklahoman<\/em>, Gilson claimed that Duffey allegedly kissed and touched her daughter, and that his actions were witnessed by another coach.<\/p>\n
