Well, emo and pop-punk\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.spotify.com\/2026-07-24\/emo-music-streaming-mexico-data\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to Spotify<\/a>, which has published some data on the recent growth of these genres in its streaming data for Mexico.\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBetween 2019 and 2025, streams of emo and pop-punk in Mexico nearly doubled, outpacing growth in the US,\u201d it noted. \u201cOver a similar stretch, from 2022 to 2026, the number of monthly listeners of the genre in Mexico grew by 66%.\u201d\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This isn\u2019t just about the famous American emo bands though.
