Justin Baldoni<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u2019s Wayfarer Studios has been ordered to pay The New York Times\u2019<\/i> legal fees after its lawsuit against the publication was dismissed.<\/p>\n

According to court documents obtained by TMZ<\/span><\/a>, Wayfarer Studios LLC has been ordered to pay $171,616 to the news outlet.<\/p>\n

Us<\/i> has reached out to Baldoni\u2019s team for comment.<\/p>\n

In December 2024, The New York Times<\/i> initially reported on Blake Lively\u2019s complaint against Baldoni, her <\/i>It Ends With Us<\/i><\/span><\/a> costar and director.<\/p>\n

Lively, 38, accused Baldoni of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and orchestrating an alleged smear campaign against her.<\/p>\n

Baldoni, 42, denied all allegations and subsequently filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and a $250 million lawsuit<\/span><\/a> against The<\/i> New York Times<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Baldoni and his associates alleged that The New York Times<\/i> \u201ccherry-picked\u201d information to mislead readers about his dispute with Lively in its December 2024 article titled \u201cWe Can Bury Anyone: Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine.\u201d<\/p>\n

In June 2025, however, Judge Lewis J. Liman<\/strong> dismissed Baldoni\u2019s lawsuit against The New York Times<\/i> and Lively.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are grateful to the court for seeing the lawsuit for what it was: a meritless attempt to stifle honest reporting,\u201d a spokesperson for The<\/i> New York Times<\/i> said in a statement<\/span><\/a> to Us <\/i>at the time. \u201cOur journalists went out and covered carefully and fairly a story of public importance, and the court recognized that the law is designed to protect just that sort of journalism.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement continued: \u201cWe will continue to stand up in court for our journalism and for our journalists when their work comes under attack.\u201d<\/p>\n

In May, Baldoni and Lively reached a settlement<\/span><\/a> in their own It Ends With Us<\/i> legal battle, just weeks before they were set to go to trial. A source told Us<\/i> at the time that money was not exchanged<\/span><\/a> between Lively and Baldoni.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe end product \u2014 the movie It Ends With Us<\/i> \u2014 is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors \u2014 and all survivors \u2014 is a goal that we stand behind,\u201d Lively and Baldoni said in a statement to Us<\/i> via their attorneys on May 4. \u201cWe acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard.\u201d<\/p>\n
