\u201cI love my daughter, always have, always will,\u201d Eric, 70, said in a statement to Us<\/i> on Monday, July 27, breaking his silence after missing his daughter\u2019s nuptials. \u201cIt is perfectly wonderful for her to celebrate however she wants, with whomever she wants.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emma, 35, and her longtime partner, Cody John<\/strong><\/a>, said \u201cI do\u201d in an intimate Idaho ceremony on Saturday, July 25, according to photos obtained by Vogue<\/i><\/span><\/a>. The groom looked handsome in a custom espresso-colored Ferragamo suit, while the bride stunned<\/span><\/a> in a one-shouldered ivory Monique Lhuillier gown.<\/p>\n

Julia Roberts<\/strong> was spotted<\/span><\/a> at a private Idaho residence where her niece\u2019s wedding was held on Saturday, according to photos obtained by Page Six<\/span>.<\/p>\n

During an April appearance on the \u201cReally Famous With Kara Mayer Robinson\u201d<\/span><\/a> podcast, Eric \u2014 who shares Emma with his ex, Kelly Cunningham<\/strong> \u2014 was asked if he has a \u201ccomplicated\u201d relationship<\/span><\/a> with his daughter.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cNot really. It\u2019s only complicated through outside eyes because they don\u2019t get any of it, so they have their own take, whatever that is,\u201d the Runaway Train<\/i> actor explained. \u201cI\u2019m so proud of my daughter. I\u2019m so proud of my kid. She didn\u2019t start off as a great actor, but she became a great actor. She\u2019s fabulous.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Eric, people have their assumptions about his relationship, but \u201cthey\u2019re not really involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

One bond that is stronger than ever is Emma\u2019s love story with John, 36. The actors have tried to keep their relationship out of the spotlight ever since they became Instagram official in August 2022.<\/p>\n
