During an April appearance on Really Famous With Kara Mayer Robinson<\/a>, Eric said he was a \u201ccar wreck\u201d when Emma was born in 1991 and was \u201cnot to be depended on emotionally\u201d due to his depression and addiction issues.<\/p>\n \n\tEric added that his relationship with Emma is \u201cnot a straight\u201d line but said, \u201cI\u2019m so proud of my daughter. I\u2019m so proud of my kid. She didn\u2019t start off as a great actor, but she became a great actor. She\u2019s fabulous.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tEric previously opened up about being an absent father in his 2024 memoir Runaway Train: Or the Story of My Life So Far<\/em>. \u201cI loved my little daughter with the strength of Hercules, despite my own weaknesses,\u201d he wrote. \u201cHowever, I couldn\u2019t handle the realities of an infant coming into my life, and I couldn\u2019t handle being a parent! I\u2019m still not a father figure.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAt her wedding, Emma was walked down the aisle by her 5-year-old son, Rhodes<\/a>, whom she shares with ex Garrett Hedlund. She wore a custom-made, vintage-inspired Monique Lhuillier dress, while Cody wore a classic black tuxedo.<\/p>\n \n\tThe couple exchanged vows in front of celebrity guests including Ashley Benson and her husband, Brandon Davis; Demi Moore; Kristen Stewart and her partner, Dylan Meyer; Sarah Paulson; and Billie Lourd.<\/p>\n
