The company found success with Oscar best picture winner \u201cCODA,\u201d box-office blockbuster \u201cF1\u201d and Emmy-winning shows such as \u201cThe Studio\u201d and \u201cTed Lasso.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Apple dropped the plus sign and renamed the service Apple TV.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we have \u200csuch \u200btremendous momentum right now in Apple TV,\u201d Ternus \u2060told Reuters on the red \u2060carpet at the premiere of the fourth season of \u201cTed Lasso.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s so many amazing shows, so many amazing characters and stories, and so we\u2019re just going to keep building on the momentum.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ternus stood next to current CEO Tim \u200bCook, who said he is sharing his insights about the entertainment business as part of the leadership transition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur role is to be the best. That\u2019s \u2060our lane,\u201d Cook said of Apple\u2019s entertainment \u2060strategy. \u201cWe\u2019re not about the most. There are \u2026 other companies that \u200bdo that. But we\u2019re about the best, and I feel like we really hit \u200bour stride in providing that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cook said Apple was open to future \u200cpartnerships in the entertainment realm if the company feels it can bring a particular expertise. He pointed to the arrangement with the Formula 1 racing league.<\/p>\n<p>For the Brad Pitt movie \u201cF1,\u201d Apple\u00a0built custom cameras to help make audiences feel like \u2060they were inside a race car. F1 races are now shown exclusively on Apple TV in the United States, and the company provides leaderboards, updates and other coverage \u2060on Apple News and \u200cother apps.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll do things that we can bring something \u2060unique to, where we can innovate in a way \u200bthat\u00a0others might \u200cnot be able to,\u201d Cook said. \u201cI feel like we\u2019re \u200breally doing that \u2060with F1. We\u2019re so excited about how we\u2019re doing there and the viewership numbers that we\u2019re getting.
