Folk singer Linda Perhacs<\/strong> has been reported missing months after being released from a residential care facility.<\/p>\n

Perhacs\u2019 friend Mark McNeill<\/strong> shared a plea for help via Instagram on Monday, July 27, writing, \u201cLinda Perhacs our dear friend and legendary singer-songwriter was discharged from a residential care facility approximately eight months ago under the supervision of her legal guardian.\u201d<\/p>\n

McNeill claimed that Perhacs\u2019 loved ones have been unable to get<\/a> in touch with her.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince then, friends and longtime collaborators have been unable to reach her and repeated attempts to contact her guardian have reportedly gone unanswered,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

In the social media post, McNeill urged his followers to reach out to Perhacs\u2019 former manager Laurel Stearns<\/strong> via email with any \u201cverified information regarding Linda\u2019s whereabouts or current means of contact.\u201d<\/p>\n

McNeill\u2019s post was jointly shared by Stearns, Jessica Hundley<\/strong>, who directed the music video for Perhacs\u2019 song \u201cPrisms of Glass,\u201d and musician Julia Holter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Stearns broke her silence about her former client\u2019s<\/a> disappearance in a statement to Entertainment Weekly<\/em>, claiming \u201cconcern is growing\u201d among Perhacs\u2019 close friends, collaborators and the music community.<\/p>\n

According to Stearns, \u201cnumerous friends and longtime collaborators report they have been unable to establish direct contact\u201d with Perhacs since she was discharged.<\/p>\n

\u201cRepeated attempts to communicate with her guardian have also, they say, gone unanswered,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
