The book takes place in Or\u00efsha, a fictional world where non-magic users, known as kosid\u00e1n, oppress the maji, known as div\u00eeners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Mbedu stars as Z\u00e9lie, a young div\u00eener who goes on &#8220;a quest to reclaim the magic that was violently stolen from her people,&#8221; according to an official description.
