Ryan Reynolds snuck into San Diego ComicCon<\/a> this weekend without security, mixing with fans while undercover as his Marvel antihero character.<\/p>\n The “Deadpool” actor swapped his signature red suit for a grey denim suit when he crashed Saturday’s event incognito. He stopped to pose for photos with fans, who assumed they were taking selfies with just another cosplayer. <\/p>\n But in a recent Instagram post, Reynolds confirmed it was really him under the suit.<\/p>\n “Yesterday, 10 years after the first film and exactly 2 years after Deadpool & Wolverine, I felt so lucky to be on the #SDCC<\/a> floor with everyone whose unapologetic devotion brings so much joy to this world,” he wrote. “No handlers, no security, no ropes. WHAT A GIFT. Thanks to everyone I met, who aren\u2019t only cosplaying but world-building.”<\/p>\n The video shows Reynolds swinging a faux sword with a Deadpool cosplayer and joking around with Olaf from “Frozen.” The actor revealed in the caption that he also met the “actual Sergeant Slaughter,” or Robert Remus, the voice actor behind\u00a0“G.I. Joe: The Movie.”<\/p>\n Reynolds later appeared at Marvel\u2019s Hall H panel presenting\u00a0“Avengers: Doomsday<\/a>,” lobbing questions at his co-stars. Rumors of his character’s involvement in the upcoming film remain unconfirmed.<\/p>\n Robert Downey Jr.<\/a>, who plays Ironman, spotted Reynolds in the crowd and joked, “Who’s this guy with the swords and stuff?” <\/p>\n Reynolds replied, “Long-time listener, first-time caller. This seems an awfully expensive way to announce a film.
