Kris Jenner<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s mother Mary Jo \u201cMJ\u201d Shannon<\/strong>\u2019s death certificate has shed new light on how she died<\/a> at age 91 earlier this month.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, July 28, Us<\/em> exclusively obtained Shannon\u2019s death certificate, which stated her immediate cause of death was acute cardiopulmonary arrest.<\/p>\n

Other conditions leading to her death included acute respiratory failure and metastatic lung cancer, which Shannon had for months before her death, according to the certificate.<\/p>\n

Shannon died at a Los Angeles hospital on July 16 and was cremated on July 23, the death certificate confirmed. No autopsy was performed after her death.<\/p>\n

Posting via her Instagram on Friday, July 17, DeGeneres shared condolences to Jenner from herself and her wife, Portia de Rossi, after hearing the news of Mary Jo \u201cMJ\u201d Shannon\u2019s death. \u201cPortia and I know how [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jenner, 70, announced on July 16 that her mom had died 10 days before she would have celebrated her 92nd birthday on Sunday, July 26.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ. \ud83d\ude1e\ud83d\udc94,\u201d Jenner shared via Instagram<\/a> at the time. \u201cThere are no words that could ever capture what she has meant to me or the heartbreak of having to say goodbye. My mom was the heart of our family. She taught me everything that truly matters \u2026 to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted. She taught us that family is everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shannon\u2019s death brought the entire Kardashian family together as various members \u2014 including Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a>, Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> and even Kylie Jenner<\/strong>\u2019s boyfriend Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/strong>\u2019s mother Nicole Flender<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 paid tribute to the late matriarch.<\/p>\n

On July 17, Kim shared what appeared to be the final text messages<\/a> on her \u201cEntire Family Group Chat,\u201d where Jenner exchanged biblical quotations with Shannon only a few days before her death.<\/p>\n

The Kardashian-Jenner clan came together again on Sunday to commemorate what would have been Shannon\u2019s 92nd birthday<\/a>.<\/p>\n
