A single funeral service will be held for a husband, wife and their daughter who were all killed last week in a crash on Route 33 in Northampton County.
Darrell Robinson, 42, his wife Alexis Robinson, 39, and their daughter, 16-year-old Tahlia Robinson, died after their Toyota RAV4 was struck from behind by a box truck March 24 on Route 33 North in Bushkill Township.
The family, who lived in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania, all died of multiple blunt-force injuries, and their deaths were ruled accidental.
A viewing is planned for April 8 at Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home in Staten Island and the three will be buried in Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey. Information on the services can be found here.
The family recently moved to Pennsylvania from Staten Island, said Tatiyana Holliday. Holliday is cousins with Alexis and her children, Thalia and Alexis’ older son, Isaiah Jenkins.
Jenkins, 18, is taking things day by day, hour by hour, as he handles making funeral arrangements for his family. A GoFundMe has been created to help with the funeral costs.
“Every little penny will help … help to give Isaiah some sort of closure. We want everyone to show as much love as possible,” Holliday said. “Everyone’s calling from every corner of the world where we have family … We try to talk about the things about them that made us happy, not the tragedy of everything.”
Holliday said Alexis “was a mom to everyone she came into contact with. She’s so intelligent.”
Darrell was always laughing about the simplest things and Thalia was “vibrant, she was energetic, she was loving,” Holliday said.
“They were just so happy,” Holliday said.
