Superstars of sport were among those that ascended the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on Monday with their interpretations of the theme “Costume Art” with the dress code of “Fashion is Art”.
The Met Gala, known as fashion’s biggest night, is held on the first Monday in May and celebrates the opening of the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition at the New York museum. The “Costume Art” exhibit will run from 10 May to 10 January.
